astal town with tons of local activities! It’s time to put Manteo at the top of your list for family activities, on-going community events and the heart of fun!

First things first, the #1 attraction and an Outer Banks tradition is The Lost Colony. Come and witness over 100 cast members and technicians bring life to the Nation’s oldest mystery! The tradition continues on Opening Night on May 25th. You won’t want to miss this season at The Lost Colony!

Next up on the agenda is the the 43rd Annual Dare Day Festival on June 2nd! There’s no better way to kick off the month of June than this family friendly event that both the local community and our visitors are sure to enjoy! From live music, the regatta, local arts and crafts to the annual blue ribbon competition for the best cake and pie in Dare County, there is something for everyone at the Dare Day Festival!

First Friday occurs in Manteo on the first Friday of each month through December! This street-style festival is a local favorite! The kids are going to love the magic show and the activities like the rock climbing wall while adults are sure to enjoy the live music, food and local vendors!

In addition to First Friday, the Town of Manteo also brings the local Farmer’s Market to the historic town center. You can enjoy the Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings through October at the George Washington Creef Park. Enjoy local produce, wine, pastries and arts and crafts at First Friday!
