Victoria Jackson
Estimating & Procurement
Victoria Jackson is in the SAGA Procurement Hub responsible for purchasing materials and issuing vendor sub-contracts. Her 30 years of Professional experience is broad, expansive and a little quirky.
Victoria has worked at several Fortune 100 companies; like Delta Airlines, American International Group (AIG), AT&T, General Dynamics IT to working in Afghanistan on behalf of the Department of Defense and the Afghan National Army. She was also the CEO of Foreclosure News for almost 18 years. The leadership positions held over this time ranged from strategy development, technology consulting, financial planning, accounting and operations.
Her experience in Afghanistan involved development of the Force Structure for the Afghan National Army. She had no military background and minimal experience in any enterprise whose function was not to make a profit. She excelled in the role, not because of what she already knew, but because she knew how to ask the right people the right questions and get cooperation from an International NATO contingent, Afghan Officers, USA Officers and others. Ask her about it and she will tell you, “It was a fascinating experience, it changed my world view and increased my empathy and how I view people – everyone has something of value to offer”.
Victoria is a published author, graphic artist and served as a Publisher of a Real Estate magazine for 17 years. She spent a few years as Manager of a Marketing Agency; focusing on Social Media Management, online advertising, event planning, TV / radio broadcasting, public speaking, and website design. She also has over 4 years’ experience in the Vacation Home rental industry and as an Office Manager for another Construction company.
“I am fortunate to call the Outer Banks home since 1998 and to have raised my children here. I know they will always have the sea calling their name.” She enjoys the never ending home improvement projects, spending time at the beach or boating and walking her dogs to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us in this magical place called OBX.
