Job Summary:
This role is for an individual who is passionate about real estate development and the Outer Banks. Serves as a primary point of contact under VR Real Estate Advisors for SAGA owned long term leased commercial and residential real estate and multi-family dwellings. Works with financial data, property management and occasionally marketing needs. Ideal candidates would be resourceful, analytical, adaptable and very organized.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Two salaried leasing professionals report to this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees all commercial and residential leased properties in the Inner and Outer Banks
- Properties include multiple family rental apartment communities, single family residential homes, small commercial spaces as well as smaller hotels and inns
- Inter departmental communications for in house resident requirements
- Overall management of leasing agreements to ensure compliance with NC real estate requirements
- Management oversight of the eviction process including interfacing with attorneys and court proceedings required
- Managing the Trust accounting of all leased funds
- Reports revenue monthly for all leased property
- Required to conduct research to ensure market rates are set appropriately
- Performs back up for residential leasing agents when needed
- Managing a growing portfolio of leased properties including new projects in development
- Other duties as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software such as APP folio.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Active North Carolina Real estate sales license must be a current BIC or is BIC eligible.
- At least two years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing and walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse a variety of properties with stairs and in a variety of weather.
- Must be willing to work weekends and/or evenings as needed.
Compensation $60-70,000 annually based on experience.
