Fall is a wonderful time of year to get together outside and enjoy North Carolina wines
When you ask someone to name the most popular wine destination of the United States, most would immediately say Napa Valley California, and if they really know wine, they might even name the Monticello Wine Trail in Thomas Jefferson’s Charlottesville region where there are more than 40 wineries. But North Carolina is growing as a unique a wine region in its own right, and is growing year-after-year. We’re excited to share some local wineries and vineyards right in our backyard from the Outer Banks. Fall is an ideal time to visit as during the fall months vineyards are beginning their harvest season.
Many wineries have live music and festivals, with hayrides and great food like the Crabdaddy Festival at Sanctuary Vineyards Saturday, September 18, 2021.Â
