John, a native of Eastern North Carolina, obtained a NC License Certificate of Achievement from the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors in 1990. He owned and operated a custom/luxury home building company in Elizabeth City before joining SAGA in August of 2012.

John has proven over his career a commitment to success with a strong sense of ethics. In the past 20 years, he has developed considerable contact with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and suppliers. He demonstrates tact, diplomacy and authority in order to maintain established programs and to develop new programs or projects. A leader in the building industry with his ability to supervise, manage, and motivate crews. John and his wife of 23 years, enjoy spending time with their two children along with participating in all types of sports.
