Kill Devil’s Frozen Custard & Beach Fries

You know you want fries AND ice cream. So hit up a spot where you can get both! Kill Devil’s Frozen Custard is known for this delicious combo and the fact that its custard is extra thick and creamy because of the special machine they use to churn it – which they do on an hourly basis so your custard is super fresh.

Booty Treats Ice Cream & Shakes

A pirate’s booty worth of sugary sweetness awaits you at Booty Treats. The ice cream shop has many flavors of ice cream, lots of shaved ice flavors, and their special mini melts toppings. You can also top your shaved ice with the mini melts for an extra yummy treat. There are two locations – a Big Booty and a Lil’ Booty in Nags Head where you can get these frozen goodies.

Coastal Creamery OBX

Not only does Coastal Creamery OBX offer scrumptious treats, they’re also located right next to Kitty Hawk Water Sports, where the kids can ride bumper boats so it’s a great place to spend a warm summer evening. They even have Belgian waffles that you can top with your choice of toppings and a scoop of ice cream.

Holy Cow Creamery

John’s Drive In 

Jonh’s Drive In has been an Outer Banks institution for ice cream since the 70’s and it’s still a local favorite. They have soft serve and some of the area’s absolute best milkshakes. Plus you can get burgers, seafood, or a sandwich too!
