International women's day

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

IWD was designed to reflect on progress made by and for women across the globe… as well as to celebrate the determination and courage of ordinary women who have accomplished extraordinary things.

This special day is set apart to give us the opportunity to pause and think about how we can better the lives of women across the world, and bring about equality for all women, regardless of where they live or what their background may be. But this day is not just about women, it’s about bettering the lives for all of us across this planet we call home.

International Women’s Day is March 8th. What can you do to participate?

1. Support Female-Owned Businesses

Empower women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and perhaps employ other women by supporting female-owned businesses in any way, which in turn will empower them economically. Also, there are plenty of women-owned businesses online… which means that you can support them when you shop right from the comfort of your own home.

2. Make A Donation To A Worthy Cause

Why we celebrate

International Women’s Day is an annual day to celebrate women of all walks of life, to unite and continue to see equality progress across the globe. It’s also a reminder of those accomplishments made by women nationally and internationally, and most importantly within our own lives. We can’t deny, that without women, we wouldn’t be here at all.
